About Dr. Cuellar

Dr. Cuellar earned her doctoral degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a clinical and research specialization in helping children and families.  She completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship at the Medical College of Georgia/Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center where she provided therapy services across several medical and outpatient settings.  As a postdoctoral fellow at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System, Dr. Cuellar continued her specialization in providing treatment to couples, families, and parents while also providing treatment for individuals recovering from depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

Currently in her practice, Dr. Cuellar works with adults and children, focused on helping clients develop skills for effectively managing distress and improving relationships.  In addition to her practice, Dr. Cuellar serves as Co-Director of the Family Therapy Training Program at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, supervising psychology practicum, intern, and postdoctoral trainees. She is also a psychologist with the Telemental Health Team, providing virtual therapy services and specializing in sleep management.  As a Bay Area native, she values diversity and actively leads with a multiculturally sensitive, liberation-based approach to treatment.
